Description

Sahih al-Bukhari (Volume 7, Book 71, Hadith 609):

Narrated Sa`id bin Zaid: I heard the Prophet saying, “Truffles are like Manna (i.e., they grow naturally without man’s care) and their water heals eye diseases.”

Sahih Muslim (Book 23, Hadith 5072):

Abu Huraira reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: “The Kam’ah (truffle) is among the ‘Manna’ (food miraculously sent to the Israelites) which Allah sent to the people of Israel, and its juice is a medicine for the eye.”

As the hadith says, “Truffles are a form of manna, and its liquid is a cure for the eye.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2067), truffles have been revered in Islamic tradition for their healing properties and unique taste.
